Located in the middle of a residential area, this little restaurant is very much a family affair with proprietor Shirley assisted by her parents. Food served includes Pan Mee, Yee Mee and a number of rotating specials for the week. However what makes Blossom special is that it features a variety of yummy cakes and muffins made by Shirley. My personal favorite is the carrot cake which comes with a generous topping of cream cheese and nuts. Prices are very reasonable and the place is packed on Sunday during lunchtime
Blossom Deli Café is a family run deli that serves comfort local food such as Pan Mee, Curry Noodles, Fried Rice and many more; and they offer varieties of home-baked cakes too. Blossom Deli Café is a very simple eatery with not much décor. So, do not expect to find yourself in some hippie café. It might be a challenge to find the place because it's located out of nowhere in SS2 housing area, but all you need to do is find Standing Theory Café then you'll be able to locate the place. It's at the same row as the café. Personally, I felt the main dishes were ok but they do serve some delicious cakes. They are cheap and yummy! One of my favourite will be their Carrot Cheese Cake - it's moist and dense. I love the walnuts on the cream cheese which added extra texture to the otherwise dense cake. The other favourite would be their Kaya Cake. The chiffon cake was light and fluffy and the kaya spread wasn't overly sweet. Apart from the usual options, they do designer or customize cakes for special occassions too. Compared to the cakes in places such as Secret Recipe, I would definitely prefer the ones from Blossom Deli Café. Email: blossomdeli@gmail.com
